Zombie Army 4: Dead War Review – Perfection du film B
Yes, another game of zombies is here, and I can hear the collective moans of you all. Do not move away because it plays like a B movie that is not only self-conscious, but also a big game! Have I still caught your attention? Because Zombie Army 4: Dead War has definitely captured mine.
If you have not played any of the previous Zombie Army games, do not worry. I had not played any of them either and found that this game was extremely easy to take charge and play. All you need to know is that Hitler has managed to resurrect the dead in the last days of the Second World War. After sending Hitler to hell, you and your team must fight the rest of the Nazi-living hordes. Yes, you read that right.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War takes full advantage of the extreme nature of the world he has created. The rebellion is constantly throwing new areas, objects and zombies to keep things interesting. And even when I had hordes of zombies around me with parts of the flying body and shots everywhere, the frequency of images did not drop.
You have the choice between four different characters who each have their own specialties. Karl (sniper), Boris (melee), Jun (healer) and Shoal (Explosive Expert) are the characters among whom you can choose. The gameplay is your typical shooting game at the 3rd person, where you shoot rifles (a primary, a secondary and a pistol), start grenades, melee and even trample zombies to crush their skulls. Medical kits are also available to help you when things go crazy. The killings are so epic satisfactorily that you can feel the intensity while the body parts and the blood fly everywhere, and do not launch me in the objective of this coveted killer.
The entire countryside can also be played with a friend via online cooperative mode with up to 3 other players. Playing cooperatively succeeds in increasing the pleasure of this game by coordinating and discussing tactics with your cooperative partner, while the lives come to you, in real time.
Rebellion really made an effort to create a wide range of zombies. They are not only different visually, but also in the way they act. There is the typical style of slow walkers, runners, gunners and even zombie animals (I will not tell you what type however). There are a beautiful variety of missions, forcing the player to evaluate the area. Running in each zone and shoot will not always be effective. Do not misunderstand, there are areas where you can do it, but Zombie Army 4 creates situations that require you to be so skilled in combat.
There is a ton of content in Dead War — with more than 30 missions to accomplish, Zombie Army 4 easily has a campaign of more than 10 hours. That being said, there is still a lot to do after that by replaying the missions with a higher difficulty, improving your character and looking for various objects. And then there is a horde mode that offers four different cards on which to play in fighting and killing waves on waves of zombies.
The scenario and gameplay of the Zombie Army series have this classic movie B atmosphere, and with a scenario as crazy as this one, it seems just because the game is aware of oneself and gives the public what it would like, including tons of cold blood, humor and satisfying victories. The rebellion really passed things to the next level, not only with tons of varieties of living dead, but also missions and areas to explore. There is so much game here with replayability and I hope it will be extended with some DLC or challenges online. Even if it s your first experience with the Zombie Army franchise or a game like this, it s an excellent title to get started. Rebellion has really perfected the zombie shooting game. So have a drink and let go!
